This is a delightful collection of clean traditional historical romance stories set around the battle of WaterlooJeremiah's Charge ~ Jillian Chantal - Sweet story with very good writing but the heroine was not my flavor , I like a little more sass .
The Caper Merchant ~ Tea Cooper - I really enjoyed the chemistry between Pandora and Samuel.
Lost And Found Lady ~ Susana Ellis - This one really packed a punch for a short story not just love with the H/HH but also the love of a parent.
Captain Lumley's Angel ~ Aileen Fish - A wonderful story of war, loss, pride and love winning in the end.
Folie Bleue ~ Victoria Hinshaw - I just adored this story. It was like you found an old diary that had been forgotten under the dust of days gone by.
Copenhagen's Last Charge ~ Heather King -A great story filled with humor and I really loved the banter between Meg and James.
One Last Kiss ~ Christa Paige - I really enjoyed reading this story of the sweet but strong Beatrice and the ohh so tempting Colin.
A Soldier Lay Dying ~ Sophia Strathmore - A story about a hero who would protect those he cares about even in his death but will it take death to do so ?
Not A Close Run Thing At All ~ David W. Wilkin - A story about lost love and a second chance. I had a hard time with the writing style but I'm sure many others would find it enjoyable.
I would recommend this set of stories to anyone looking for light, sweet, and clean historical romances
I took a break in between each story because I read a lot of books at once :)

Generally well written stories; some were better than others. I liked the common details used to tie the stories together. It was so funny that when I got to the last story I was having a good bit of trouble understanding some of the sentences; that punctuation was haphazard and odd, unrelated words and phrases seemed to appear in the middle of sentences. It reminded me of another story I had just read that had the same issues (in "The Chocolate House - All for Love, Anthology). Sure enough, it was the same author. There is probably a lesson to be learned here, if not by the author, at least by me.
This collection of stories is a wonderful way to read about the events of Waterloo in an entertaining way. The authors excel in incorporating actual facts into these tales while preserving the romance expected from the reader. I lost way too much sleep simply because I didn't want to stop reading! Captivating!
Nice selection of short stories. Good introduction to authors
Regency lovers this is the book for you! Every story is delightful. The historical accuracy to the period is wonderful. I especially enjoyed Ms. Victoria Hinshaw's tale. I have read other books she has written. Check them out!!
The collaboration of Authors on this book set was very good. The stories were set around the Battle of Waterloo. Each Authors love story was uniquely told. I will say I love that each story was a different take on love from the others. I need to read more about each story Authors. Hint. Hint. I could not get enough. What a wonderful read. Well done everyone. Applauding you all. 💜📖
I grew up reading Regency romances, and the ones with war themes always resonated. How lovely, then, to see an anthology celebrating the centennial of Waterloo and all the attendant military and Regency tension. These love stories were hopeful, period-perfect, and in easily digestible chunks. Some were surprising -- I loved the unexpected first-person memoir tone in "Folie Bleue"! -- though my favorite perhaps was "One Last Kiss" because it not only focused on Waterloo and the events and places immediately surrounding it, but also had that lyrical phrasing that I have over the years come to associate with Regency romances. All in all, a very satisfying read!
A collection of nine heartwarming tales set to the backdrop of war. Every story is amazing. This is a great read and also a great way to sample nine different author’s work. This is a great collection to sit down to after a long stressful day.
I definitely recommend this to anyone that loves Regency sweet romances. It is a bargain since you get nine stories for the price of one. Each one is professionally written. I hope this group of authors does another collection soon. I would certainly purchase that one as well.
